    The core demonstration site of the “Hani Terrace” rice-fish integrated farming model passed the acceptance

    On November 24, 2020, the National Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry Technology System R&D Center organized experts to the system’sYuanyang core demonstration site of “Hani Terrace Rice-fish Integrated Farming Model”(No. CARS-45-HX13) undertaken by the Kunming Comprehensive Experimental Station. The completion of construction tasks was checked and accepted. The acceptance expert group consists ofthe chief scientist Ge Xianping, secretary of the Party Committee of FFRC,Expert Xu Gangchun,deputy director of FFRC, Professor Kong Lingfu of Yunnan Agricultural University, Zhu Ziren,head of Honghe Prefecture Aquatic Station, Yunnan Province, Li Mei, head of Yuanyang County Aquatic Station, Honghe Prefecture, etc., and researcher Ge Xianping served as the leader of the expert team. Responsible experts for core demonstration site construction,researcher Zhu Jian, post expert for new farming models, Wang Yunfeng, head of Yunnan Fishery Technology Extension Station, Tian Shukui, head of Kunming Comprehensive Experimental Station, and Zhang Zhengxiong, deputy general manager of the construction support unit Hushan Zhongchuang Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. and other relevant personnel attended the acceptance meeting. The acceptance meeting was presided by researcher Zhu Jian.

    At the meeting, Tian Shukui reported on the construction of the core demonstration site. The core demonstration site created a 1,200 mu of Hani terraced rice-fish integrated farming model core demonstration site, which has driven 15,800 mu of radiation and 10950 households in poverty, the output value per mu in the demonstration site is 10174 yuan, and the output value per mu in the radiation driven area reached 8095 yuan, which has achieved significant economic, ecological and social benefits.

    Based on the field investigation and the report, the expert team believed that the construction of the core demonstration site of the system’s "Hani Terrace" rice-fish integrated farming model has completed the technical indicators specified in the project assignment and achieved significant economic, cological and social benefits, so they agreed to pass the acceptance.

    In the next step, as a continuation of the "13th Five-Year Plan", the system would combine the tasks of "One County, One Industry" during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period and continue to promote the construction of core demonstration sites to help the economic developmentof “One County, One Industry” in Yuanyang.
