Entrusted and funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), from May 13 to 19, 2018, 3 technical officers from Myanmar Fisheries Bureau participated in ‘Training and Study Tour on Tilapia Seed Production and Intensive Grow-out Culture’ .

During the study tour, Pro.f Dong Zaijie and Dr. Qiang Jun shared with participants the key technologies of tilapia selective breeding, brooder breeding, seed production and main culture models in China. Besides,they also analyzed the important potentials for the tilapia industry development in Myanmar and discussed deeply on introduce high-quality Jifu tilapia to Myanmar.
