Recently, Zhu Xinhua, Deputy Director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, visited Jingjiang Pilot Research Station of FFRC for investigation and exchange.

During the investigation, Deputy Director Bing Xuwen of FFRC mainly introduced the planning and construction of Jingjiang Pilot Research Station. FFRC is committed to building the Jingjiang Pilot Research Station into a demonstration base integrating the functions of living germplasm preservation, resource enhancement, technology research, and information exchange, further improving the conservation and protective development and utilization of aquatic biological resources in the Yangtze River, and contributing to the high-quality development of Jiangsu fishery.

Deputy Director Zhu Xinhua inspected the site of the first phase construction project of Jingjiang Pilot Research Station, learned in detail the planning and positioning of Jingjiang Station and the practical measures to actively serve the development of local fisheries and the protection of the Yangtze River, and carefully inquired about the information of more than 40 aquatic organisms conserved by Jingjiang Station.

After visiting the Solenia oleivora and Asian Clam artificially bred in FFRC, Deputy Director Zhu Xinhua said that molluscs are an important aquatic export species in China and an important fishery ecological restoration species. He suggested that FFRC pay more attention to the scientific research and innovation, improve the efficiency of technic transfer, and benefit the people and the ecological environment.
