    FFRC held an on-site production evaluation meeting of “Blue Granary” key special subject

    On September 13, the on-site production evaluation meeting of the national key R&D plan “Blue Granary S&T Innovation” key special subject “Fish-Rice Integrated Farming Key Technologies and High-Efficiency Utilization Model Demonstration” was held in Jiangyou City and Qionglai City, Sichuan Province.

    The production evaluation expert group of Jiangyou demonstration site highly appraised the model demonstration conducted by the research team at the two implementation sites of Daoxiang Village and Daguan Village, Dayan Town, Jiangyou City. The research team established 4000 mu of fish-rice integrated farming base, demonstrated common carp, grass carp and other species, and demonstrated the optimization of fish-rice integrated farming field engineering, water quality and environmental regulation, diseases, insects and weeds prevention and control, and applied high-quality aquatic and rice varieties such as Furui Carp No. 2 and Yixiangyou 2115. The economic benefit of the demonstration base is 5,000-8,000 yuan/mu, which is 28% higher than before, and the overall benefit is 35% higher, the profit rate of “rice-fish” per mu has increased by more than 20%, and the rice yield per mu is no less than 90% of local ordinary rice fields.

    At the demonstration site of Qionglai City, the production evaluation expert group recognized the experimental results of the research team at this demonstration site. The research team established a 500-mu fish-rice integrated farming base at the implementation site of Gaogeng district, and demonstrated the largemouth bass “You Lu No.3”, yellow catfish, crucian carp, etc., carried out the study of fish-rice heterotopic symbiosis model, demonstrated the key technologies of fish-rice integrated farming model such as water quality control and aquatic healthy aquaculture management, with an output value of 5200-6000 yuan/ mu, the overall benefit is 40% higher than before the implementation of the project.
